I was told by my local national dealer that Monaco purchased the body molds and will be making replacment parts for all national models.

dont know if thats true or not. but they told me that almost all replacement parts will be avalable.

I just e-mailed MONACO with the exact same question...if they bought the molds, etc., and would be able to supply the National RV "exclusive" parts....
Will post the response here as soon as I hear from them....IF I hear from them.

WOW. I went there a month ago, and it was still the old site. I just checked it and was surprised to see Monaco's web site at National's address......there is still hope for us.

I don't think we can wish National back in business. With the down turn in the economy. 5.00 plus a gallon unleaded and 6.00 dollar diesel not far behind, I don't think Monaco will resurrect the dead any time soon. If they bought molds and the like, they might start to make a few parts available to the public. I would of thought that if they did buy with the intent to support the orphans, we might of heard about that by now. sometimes a company will buy intellectual property of a defunct company just to stop anyone else from being their competition. It's happened before and most likely will again.

Well, it looks as if the old National RV website has been moved to the former National RV Holdings site. So it's still up and running at: NRVH.COM

Rick, I think you hit the nail on the head, Monaco made a business decision, which could block others from using product information. It is possible they could market parts in the repair industry, however most experienced shops can repair just about anything short of total destruction.

Don't forget other RV companies bought other items in the intellectual arena.

I've got news! We came up to Harrisburg, OR and we kept going by Monaco so we stopped in to ask some questions. Met a very nice gentleman by the name of Steve Overlin.

He gave me the name of a service coordinator: Ms Ronnie Bootes. If you need service on your National Coach, you can send her an email (ronnie.bootes@MonacoCoach.com) or call her at (541) 995-1123 or (800) 266-4145. Their mail address is: 91320 Coburg Industrial Way, Coburg, OR 97408. Their physical address (no mail delivery) is: 30725 Diamond Hill Rd, Harrisburg, OR

They have a RV park on the premises. As you go up I-5, take Exit 209 and turn left onto Diamond Hill Road. The shop is about five miles down the road. If the park is full, there is a RV Park (Diamond Hill RV Park) right at the exit with very reasonable rates. They are a Good Sam Park.

As for Monaco, they purchased the web site and several molds beginning with the year 2000. They are looking forward to service National owners. They will honor most warranties. While they didn't purchase back molds, he said that there isn't much of a difference between theirs and National and they can handle that. They will honor all warranties on appliances and other acoutrements inside the motorhome.
