Vent Covers and Loose Spigot Adjustment

2008 Pacifica owner here.

How well do the "rain sensors" work on the auto fan vents? Has anyone install MaxxAir, or similar, vent covers on these auto fans? With these vent covers installed is there any conflict between the installed cover and the vent full open position? We will be putting these after market vent covers over the head vent for sure. It would be nice to have this particular vent, as well as the others, available in the rain.

Secondly. The sink in the head has a hot/cold water spigot with a single control lever. That lever is very loose without any apparent way to take the play out. The other two spigots of like design in the unit are tight and more responsive to water flow/temp adjustments. Does anyone know where the adjustment is located and how to adjust it?

The rain sensor on my autovent (2001 Dolphin) works very well. A light rain in the PNW will cause it to close. After it drys out it will open again. It is a little slow to close but that is just how it works. The only time it got a little we was a cloudburst in the midwest. It took awhile to close and some water got in and on the floor, but that would have happened if I was standing there and manually closed it anyway.

We have 2 fantastic fans in our 5th wheel .....both are t-stat controlled
The rain sensors work so well that any moisture on sensor will cause vent lid to close and turn fan off.

OK but not really OK cause when it is raining is when I like the cool air flowing thru rig.
So I installed MaxxAir Covers.
Yes the vent lid does touch up against the cover when opening but does not interfere with fan operation.

As for that faucet........should be a allen set screw to remove handle and then you can tighten divert valve up.. Might be a adjustment ring that tightens OR might need a 'tool' with 2 stubs on it to tighten internally.

Access to allen set screw for handle could be under a 'button' (cap) or by opening handle fully and getting to set screw underneath

When the fan and lid are on auto and the lid rises to contact the cover does the motor just stop or does it continue to try to rise the lid to the fully open position?

They make fantastic fan covers just for these fans because of the large volume of air they push.

My lids open till they touch then the lift stops and fan stays on just fine. I notice little if any air flow restriction. Nice on rainy days that you want the fan on.
