Does anyone know where to get the vinyl RV insert molding for the end caps? Mine has a black mildew stain that will not come out. I have found the molding that goes inside a channel but the one on my caps go over the screw channel. It is like there is an inside & outside version of the molding.

I am have new graphics installed and want to replace the molding before they lay the new graphic material over it.

Thanks,

There are a few dozen different sizes, styles and materials that were used as screw cap moldings. I picked some up for our Travel Supreme at Hill Top RV in Red Oak, TX
However you should be able to find what you need at a good RV parts counter. Fun Time RV carried some, but they are now out of business as of last week. You might try calling Blue Moon RV service up in Carrollton, I would bet that if they don't have it they could order it in for you. There are also a number of dealer who sell over the internet and Ebay. I like to deal local on things like moulding however, that way I can take in a piece of the old molding and make sure I am getting what I need.
Good Luck,

Wanted to add three things.
Our molding was a rubber in the channel screw cap, not the vinyl.

On our Travel Supreme the molding was white and had turned black with dirt, mildew and age. We tried a lot of different products to clean the Uck off of it and try to get it back to white..best luck we had was with a Mr Clean Eraser. But, I had well over 250 feet to clean and not enough fingers to clean it with...my fingers wore out quick. So I replaced the molding instead.

As I mentioned our molding was white and had turned black, so I figured if the white was just going to turn black..why not replace it with new black shiny molding and I did. About 3/4 of the way to completion of the job, I was informed that with time, sun and elements that the black molding would actually turn to a light grey to dirty white......Live and Learn.

Thanks,
I had the same problem on my end mouldings. I tried different things like alcohol, cleaners, Comet, etc. I tried some wet and dry sand paper, very fine grit, like a 600 with water and elbow grease and I got rid of most of the stain.

During our paint job a piece of moulding had a tear in it and the RV shop had some laying around. He didn't use the total supply. Perhaps he will sell you some or tell you where to buy it. If you talk to Tony tell him Raymond found it in the bay.

Here is a picture of the moulding I'm talking about.

Thanks for the replies. I have found several different moldings but none are a match. I tried the scrubbing and it just would not clean up very well. I will try Blue Moon as I work in Carrollton and can run over there at lunch. If I strike out there I will give Dick's guy a call.

Thanks Again,

Why can't you just paint them?

My issue with my 2000 Tradewinds 7373 is with the belt line molding. Due to mis-communication with my Lovely Wife while parking (obviously my fault), I kissed the fence pole with the molding right about 2 feet in front of the rear awning support pole mount. Other than some aggravating scrapes to the graphic that I will be forced to live with, I placed enough strain on the molding to bend it so that it won't stay on the screwed on piece.

OK no with all of that said, I have tried every source around here that should know where to get the aluminum cover strip but they all look at me with "sorry" eyes. I've found a few possibilities on line but none of them look exact enough to me to get.

I'm open for anything.
