I have a 2004 Dolphin. I have a right side front oil leak in the front hub assy. Has anyone ever repaired this problem? Where can I get the procedure to do the job? Can this repair be done without removing the front wheel? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Geaux Saints

gseefield, I would raise the tire off the ground, remove the hub cap. Open up the side cap and point the hole down to the 6 o'clock position and drain the bearing. Remove the bolts around the wheel bearing cup. Scrape the wheel (hub) clean from the old gasket.

You will need to go to a dealer and order a wheel bearing cap with a gasket or if you are good at it, you can make a gasket.

Reassemble the assembly in the manner it was disassembled. Do not over-tighten. Fill the bearing cap via the center hole and only add approximately 1/4" on fluid. There is a circle on the glass. When the fluid touches the circle stop filling.

Here's something that you should look for before beginning. If the bearing cup is overfilled it will leak. Take a look at the level and make sure its where it's supposed to be and the cup will not leak.

How many miles before you normally need to add oil? Mine is fine and have already driven 11000 miles.

Samflhomes, Unless the fluid leaks out, there is no need to add fluid. If it ain't broke .....
