I have a 2005 NRV Dolphin LX 6375 Coach. I would like to change the ShurFlo Water Guard
In-Line filter located under the galley sink.
However the out-going end of the filter has a
direct connected 1/4" tubing that seems permanently connected and the end of the tubing
connected to the water fawcet seems to be permanent! Neither connection has any fittings
to loosen or remove. I would appreciate any
ideas or hints on this set-up!
I would also like to find the location of the
water pump on this model MH and how to acrss it.
Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

It might not look like it but there are fittings screwed in to each end of the filter. I've replaced mine a few times. If you have an ice maker, be sure to replace that one too. It's located behind the grate under the refer.
The water pump is located behind the water control panel outside, drivers side, compartment. Remove the 6 or 8 screws that holds that panel in place and look up on the plywood shelf.

If you go to Home Depot, they have a GE exterior refrig/icemaker filter #GXRTQ. You can get either the full installation set or just the refill cartridge. I got the full set and installed the quick disconnect fittings on the outlet water tubing. The inlet screws on directly. Replacement goes real quick now. The GE filter looks identical to the ShurFlo for a lot less money.

If your fittings are like mine, push the tubing in towards the filter and pull what looks like a little ring (mine is blue) around it away from the filter. The tubing should then pull right out. It is a slip fit. Both ends of the filter should be the same.

I just wanted to say thanks for the help and ideas. I did find I had the type filter that you just pushed in on the ends and the tubing pulled out. I did go with the GE filter kit
with quick disconnects. Thanks also for the
water pump location. The MH is fairly new to
us and I'm still working on the fine tuning.

Good info two2go. When I replace my next set I'm going to Home Depot.

My 2001 Dolphin came with a filter bypass hose. When you winterize (pink stuff) you gotta remove the filter and replace it when you de-winterize anyway....
I removed the filter (permanantly) and put in the supplied bypass hose. The filter goes to the gooseneck fitting on the sink (we almost never use it anyway) and, if it goes to the ice maker....it don't matter. I removed the ice maker...wife said it took up too much freezer room.
