Unit is a Sealand 510+ in a 2005 Dolphin 6355
I have a water leak at the toilet that only happens when flushing or using the hand spray. I have obtained a new vacuum breaker assembly and will replace that when the temp gets above 50!! Of course, the toilet will have to come out to gain access to the defective assembly. Does anyone have experience with removing this toilet, sealant required, etc.? Is it any more complicated than just lifting it up and moving away to gain access to the back of the unit. It appears to me that all I have to disconnect first would be the water supply line from the flush valve.
Any thoughts good or bad before the fact rather than after would be appreciated.
Kent

You don't need to remove the toilet to change the vacuum breaker. I have done it twice. Reach around the back of the toilet, up into the cavity where the vacuum breaker is. Pull it out of the grommet it is in, there is just enough room to pull it out of the grommet. Once out of the grommet, pull is down, you then disconnect the hoses. The hardest part is getting the hoses off and back on.

Thanks chbone. Your reply is just in time. I am just on the way out the door to take care of that project. I knew someone on here would know the simple method for me. I'll let you know how it went.

chboone,
Less than an hour later after arriving on scene, the toilet was repaired exactly as you described. More effort was expended removing the hoses than anything else. I had to put a small space heater behind the toilet as the temp was right near freezing when I arrived. However, fifteen minutes later the hoses came right off, the new ones went on, the grommet replaced and NO more leak.
Thanks for saving me from the grief of taking the toilet out..

Your welcome Kent. One thing I forgot mention, if the new vacuum breaker came with a S bracket make sure you put it on. I didn't the first time and the sprayer hose nipple broke off. The S bracket prevents nipple from braking off.

Chuck,
Although I had a few choice words while trying to get the clamps around it, I did install it. The idea just looked good to me as I didn't want to be back in there changing it again.
Thanks again for your time saving reply
