Water Tank

Hopefully this is not a dumb question to ask, my 2006 1350 National Sea Breeze seems to have a problem taking in water to the tank........this will be the first use of the tank after the purchase and was sanitizing ( trying ) going by all the directions for filling the tank......is it a slow process to fill the tank as I can not hear any water running into it at all..... but can open the tank dump valve and get some water out of it.

Our tank takes water from the garden hose at max flow. Normally just next to the filler area is a small 1/2" hole covered by screen wire. That is the tank air vent allowing air to escape the tank as water fills. Can you feel air coming out (sometime it can be heard)? If that hose is crimped or blocked, It will take forever to fill the tank.
Also might try connecting the garden hose to the "city water" inlet and position the inlet valve to the "fill tank" position.

You do not have a vent screen. Your vent hose or hoses will come out under the coach. 1. Attach water hose fitting, city water. 2. turn water on at the hose bib, check to see if you have water at the kitchen sink. 3. Move the center valve handle to tank fill water should go in to the holding tank.

Water Tank Fixed

I took the panel off after using a mirror and flash light to look behind the panel...there was one big kink in the line which was holding up the filling of the tank........... I had tried everything this morning..... that was my last step... since I had a weeping leak and was liiking for it as well............ It sure vented after I filled it...... it is sitting now with a bit of bleach in it.... will dump in the morning..............

Thanks for the replies !!!

I have the same problem getting my tank to fill. Takes a good 45 mins, is this normal? How long should it take to fill the water tank?

I fill mine through the tank drain. This bypasses the inline prressure regulator that is built into the "city" water inlet. I have been doing this since the coach was new in 2003. I do use a screw on pressure regulator on the external hose when I am not familiar with the pressure at the source.
