Windshield cost
My 1999 Tradewinds needs a new driver side windshield. Looking for what people have paid for this window plus installation cost. Am I looking at 600.00 or a 1000.00 dollar for the replacement? Any past experience or reference will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You in advance..

Check with your insurance agent about windshield coverage. I'd say you've nailed the low and high approximations for a half-windshield replacement, but it might be more if they also have to reset the other half to properly install the bad one.

I had Tiffin replace my one piece windshield last October, it was $1200 and of course, I had a $1k deductible ..
If you are paying for it, shop around, I have found windshield prices can really vary wildly on cars and pickups. Probably similar on motorhome windshields too/

I have found that there aren't always glass shops that will install RV windshields. I broke one on my '01 Tradewinds and they did have to remove the other one to reset it and the insurance covered it all. I can't remember if I paid a deductible or not, but then the ded is $250. About 4 days after they replaced it, I took a small rock that started a crack and took it into a Novus shop and they took care of it and there's usually no charge to you. That was 5 years ago and it hasn't changed from then.
On the subject of insurance deductibles, I figger what I can afford to spend out of pocket and use that for my figure. On my auto insurance I have $250 and on my Cornerstone aftermarket warranty on the MH, I had $100. It actually costs very little extra to do that.

My drivers side windshield was replaced a few years ago through my insurance for just under 1700 dollars, I have 100 comp. deductible.

Replaced my drivers side windshield a couple months ago. Insurance paid $1,395.
That was in Fresno California.
Labor here is about $125 an hour.

You guys are lucky, I had to replace my drivers side on my 99 Rexhall and here in Ab. Canada it was just over $4,000. Cdn. They did replace the rubber for both at the same time but wow.... Shops aren't cheap here and the dollar doesn't help much either getting parts from the US.

Passenger side on an 04 Dolphin Class A was 1900.00 six years ago. Unfortunately had a 1000.00 insurance deductible.

Requirements for windshield replacement varies by the state. Kentucky, Florida, and South Carolina require insurance cover windshield replacement with no deductible. Arizona, New York, and Massachusetts can offer windshield coverage, but you have the option to get insurance at a reduced rate if you don't purchase the coverage.
The states that mention windshield replacement costs often require comprehensive coverage to qualify.
