I have a 2007 Pacifica. Since my first trip, everytime I drive thru the rain, I use my windshield wipers. The problem is they won't turn off until the RV dries out. I have pulled the fuse, turned the engine off and they keep wiping. Eventually as I drive down the road after it stops raining, I guess something dries out and I can finally turn them off. I have had two mechanics check them and no one can find the problem. I now use rain-x on the windshield so I don't have to use the wipers but that is too dangerous. Does anyone have a solution?

I had the same problem. I pulled the fuse for the wipers and made a plugin to replace the fuse with 2 wires. I installed an inline fuse in one of the wires and then wired them to an on/off switch which I mounted within easy reach of the driver. Now when the wipers won't turn off using the OEM switch I can just flip the switch.

The dealer had it in the shop 2 times trying to fix it before I did the above.

My 2006 Dolphin 36 Workhorse W-22 had the same problem. I diconnected the motor pluh cleaned and dried the plug. The I put some electical conductive grease in the plug. Put back together and have windshield wiper that turn of in a rain storm when I want to turn off.

I've had the same problem on occasion... except my wipers come on by themselves, then stop working altogether after a while. Once in a heavy downpour I actually had the fuel-pump relay on the fuse block short out, on the freeway. Good times.

I've thought about installing rubber weatherstripping on the access door to minimize the water being forced onto the bulkhead. Has anybody tried this? Seems like it would solve a lot of issues.
