Workhorse W-22 brake recall

As new owners of a 2005 Dolphin on a W-22 chassis I was wondering if anyone has recent experience with the brake recall for this chassis.
During our preseason service the mechanic reported that the rear brake pads were getting close to the minimum. This seems a little early given the mileage (23000).
In any event if I were to do any brake work I would want the updated parts installed. Is anyone providing parts or service for this?
My vin # does not show on on the GMC computer as ever having any service.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a Workhorse dealer in your area?

I bought a 2004 Dolphin two months ago and the RV dealer I bought it from had the recall performed by a Workhorse shop prior to delivery. I wasn't sure Workhorse would still do the work free of charge, as the motor home is now 15 years old, they no longer produce motor home chassis and they are (I think) under new ownership, but apparently they did cover it. I guess Federal law makes this mandatory for them as long as they are still in business.

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but the calipers are pretty common parts and rebuilt ones can be obtained from places such as NAPA at fairly reasonable prices. Any rebuilt caliper would have had the correct parts installed. As I recall, the issue had to do with a plastic (Bakelite?) piston that could bind under certain conditions. As you suspect your low mileage and worn pads could indicate a caliper binding problem.

The new calipers should be marked with code 4153269, see photo of mine taken just after recall completed by a workhorse shop.

You need to look at the brake pads your self.... I had the same issue and when I looked at them myself I found 50% of the pad left with only 40K miles on the vehicle.... well, with 50% left that's close to 80K miles which is reasonable life....

I decided that 50% to him was almost worn out... and 50% to me was the cup was half full....
