Wrinkled wall paper?
Just wondering if anyone had a solution for wrinkled wall paper. It's wrinkled around the edges of the door hardware. I was thinking of getting it moist and trying to smooth it that way?

I have not attempted this yet but I plan on making a few strategic cuts with an very sharp utility knife (fine lines) and assuming the wrinkles are not all glued in place, smooth out and re-glue. I figure that I cannot make it worse looking. I will start with an out of the way spot of course. We bought this coach used and there are a few wrinkled spots. For the money paid new, I sure hope it did not look this way when the people bought it off of the showroom floor but I am not sure how it gets this way if glued in the factory correctly. Ok, the word correctly might be key here....

This is our second class A, first DP. The other one was the same in the bathroom. I think it might be the heat causing it. I hope your plan works, come in and let us know okay.

If you are refering to the trim around the hardware on the entry door, I was able to smooth ours out with a hair dryer and a little patience. The plastic trim around the door hardware expands when exposed to the sun and heat and pushes the wall paper out away from the trim. After I smoothed out the wall paper, I reattached the trim leaving the screws a little loose so that they would not apply pressure to the wall paper. That was 4 or 5 years ago and not re-occurrence of the problem.

Mine was on the door and I used a heat gun and just took it off. I was going to replace it but no one has noticed so I will leave it like that.

What was left was the original vinyl that was part of the laminate material they made the door from. No one has noticed because when the door is open its not next to the wall paper and when closed its a small part of the wall in the stair well. Another solution would be to use a heat gun to loosen the material and stretch it back using 3M contact adhesive like they use on headliners in cars.

I have the same problem and am planning on trying heat and a small hard roller to flatten it and some new glue. I'll be home in a couple weeks and will post my success or failure.
