Xantrex inverter/ converter issue
Having problem with Xantrex inverter/charger in 2004 Tropo-cal 370. Can't get any power to unit or remote. Saw something about a rocker switch in hallway. Any further infor on this switch would be helpful and appreciated. BobHer

Welcome to IRV 2. Glad you're here. I've moved your post to start a new thread for your issue. Hopefully someone will be able to assist.

Try removing the phone cord from the connection on the face of the inverter, wait a minute, then put it back in. I've had that work when the monitor panel doesn't light up.

What model inverter do you have? Freedom 458, Prosine, Freedom HF, etc.?

There should be two breaker switches on the inverter. Check to see if they are tripped.

Dave is probably right. Look for a reset button.

I do not have a Freedom, I have a prosine.. On the prosine itself is a rocker switch, 3 position ON/OFF/Remote (also on if no remote)
Make sure it is in the ON position,, REMOTE does not refer to the panel, it refers to a simple toggle switch.
In the REOMTE positon if the switch is ON (Closed) the inverter is OFF as I recall. If the switch os open (off) or not installed, the inverter is ON.
in the OFF position on this switch, "The buck stops here" that is no power is passed through the inverter, No 12 volt, No 120 volt, it all stopps right there.
in the ON position, then power is passed converter and inverter sections are controlled by the remote control/display panel.
Make sure you do not have an ON/OFF or On/OFF'Remote on the inverter itself.

If no breakers, or On'OFF switch.
Remove Unit, bypass for 120 volt pass through, put temp converter in to keep batteries up, and ship to repair/warranty place (depending on age).

Thanks to all who replied on the Xantrex Inverter I posted. Some really great comments and I tried them all. Freedom Inverter was fried. Contacted Steve Senft in Bradenton Fl (941)-748-1941 and this guy was great. Talked me through several tests, etc. Finally told me to ship it to him and he would call me with an estimate. I ask about any refurbished Xantrex. He had a 458 model of his own and sent it to me that day and told me to hook it up, check it out and if I was satisfied send him a check for the agreed price. Got it and it works great. Thanks again for your help. BobHer
