02 allegro levelers not working

i'm a newbie, this is my first RV, it's a 38' 02 allegro bus with HWL levelers, when we bought it in the fall the levelers worked great, all 4 went up at the same time. over the winter 2 of them stopped going up, we're getting ready to go on our first short trip and they still don't work, it's the front passenger side and the rear drivers side, the springs were replaced in 2016, the fluid level is good, the levelers will only go up half an inch and then I use a long bar and pry them up. I just called the only Tiffan dealer in my state and the service guy I talked to didn't know that much about this model and transferred me to hi service manager's voice mail, he isn't calling me back. what should I do?

When's the last time the rams were cleaned and lubed with dry silicone?

Go on the HWH website and look for the troubleshooting guide for your model or jacks. Slide retraction is controlled by a solenoid mounted on the pump and the springs which pull the jack up. So it could be electrical, mechanical, or something else.

BTW, WD40 is used to clean the ram on the jack. You need to throughly wipe it off the ram when you are done cleaning it. The ram does not require lubrication.

There is a member on IRV2, AZPete, who is an HWH employee and can help you with troubleshooting.

bull183, you are welcome to call me at 1-602-549-3638. i can help.
if i dont answer, leave a message, i do not call back on hangups. too many solicitors

please download and print a service manual for diagnosing the problem.

try lubing the cylinders with wd40 and then retract them. non use will sometimes cause the problem you have. if the wont retract, open the solenoid valves and try again.
