I had that problem with my Damon too.. I can tell you what I did, it may or may not work.
First: Does it get the signal to turn off? on mine the switch is a 3-position (Center off) rocker switch and when I pressed "STORE" it clunked nicely indicating power was sent, fuses were good, and so on (all the same wires are used both ways) but when I pressed USE, nothing, zip, nada, no sound, no lights, no camera (OK the camera runs off the chassis battery but that's a topic for a different thread)
I removed the switch, cycled it both on and off (Use/Store) many times (2-4 dozen) re-connected and it worked.
Easier way: Pull the fuse to the switch (I know know where it is) No tools needed save perhaps a fuse puller.
NOW: as to how confident I am of this working:
IF it works, step 2 is go out and buy Lotto Tickets cause Lady Luck is a smiling on you this day!
