2 questions - 1. Refrigerator, 2. Change to king bed in 32SA

We really love our 2018 32SA, but after using it this year, we were wondering;
1. is it possible to switch out the propane/elec. refrigerator for a residential?
and
2. is it possible to change out the queen bed for a king?

Actually 3 questions - if these options are possible - what is a cost estimate?

Thanks!

i don't know about the refrig...
but.
we have a queen bed in our 32sa which we requested...

measure the distance from nightstand to nightstand...
see if a king would fit.. i suspect it will
i think our bed framework, matches the queen mattress... so,
you will need to increase framework, to match the king mattress, or have overhanging mattress..
good luck.

I changed my Ref for a residential with no problems.

You must consider size, power source, and route in and out of RV. Do you dry camp?

I found a residential frig the same size, 10 cu ft that came in through the door.
I installed an inverter and used the existing 2 batteries.

We have been using for approx. 3 years with no problems, in fact we are much happier with the residential frig..

I’m a bit confused here......

The difference betweeen the 31SA (not avail. after 2017) and the 32SA was a queen bed in the 31SA vs. king with the extra foot in the rear of the coach to accommodate the king bed in the 32SA.

Are you saying for 2018 (with the demise of the 31SA) you could order a 32SA with a queen? I had long thought that was what Tiffin should have offered actually..... king bed, or queen with more walk around room.

If that is the case, I doubt the slide dimensions are any different, so the main factor would be would if they even changed the side “tables” for the queen vs. king which would effect the ease of changing the bed. I’d be interested in seeing a picture of the bedroom of a 32SA with a queen.....

The residential fridge comes with 4 batteries when so equipped (no change on the inverter, I have the triplite). If you don’t boondock it’s probably irrelevant. I think size wise it depends if you have the standard propane fridge with the pantry or the larger one which is the same size as the residential with no side pantry.

Regards

Yes, we purchased ours off a dealer lot with a queen bed. And we do have a pantry beside our refrigerator.

Queen in a 32SA is a listed option. We considered but opted for the standard king as we are both slimmer folks so sidling into the king bed is no biggie. If you are a bit larger I imagine that can be less convenient but then the extra foot of width in the bed is more handy. Catch-22.

Picture above looks like you get a slightly larger side table with the queen so factor that into a retrofit.

We too are getting the 8 cf gas/electric fridge. Iíve seen a 10cf Whirlpool RR and they look to be the same size dimension-wise. Check it out. Pretty sure thatís what they use in the Breeze and Newmar also uses them. Black front.
