Dakrism - would like to help but while I have the 35rh I am in the dark as to your 40TGH. Most notable is I have but one long slide - no bedroom slide. While I am guessing the T means triple slides in yours. If you have a specific question I would try to answer.

Thanks for the reply .I was searching for some answers but after driving both models we bought the 40tgh yesterday. My wife liked it a lot better than the 35 which was a beautiful coach.the 40 footer has a table and chairs and a washer/dryer and 3 slides.I know more to go wrong!
Well buyers remorse is working on me hard now cause we have plans to leave for Fl in Jan and now we are not close to ready to go.We don't have a toad for one thing or reservations anywhere.
Anyway kinda of scary for me but excited at the same time. See ya down the road!

You probably found your answers but in case you are curious, I put the 03 and 04 Phaeton brochures in the files section of the Tiffin group on Yahoo and they are also here: RV Tech Library - Tiffin Specs and Brochures.

Unless you wanted a smaller coach, I think you might made the right choice. There's a pretty big difference between the two: the 40 is 4.5' longer and standard, the 35 comes with a 5.9L ISB300 while the 40 comes with a CAT7.2 330HP. They are about the same as far as carrying capacity; the 35 weighs 2600 lbs less and it's GVWR is about 2600 lbs less. The only real advantage with the 35 would be mileage as the ISB5.9 gets really good mileage.

Do not rush the small things. We also bought and had a deadline to head south, so I drove the tiffin and DH followed in the truck. Bought the Blue ox et al after arrival at our leisure and saved over $100 on the dealers offer.

What kind of truck do you tow? I was thinking of getting a small truck to use and throw the bikes in the back.
