Can someone help a poor ignoramous? How do I open the access to the engine on the inside of our coach. There is a small access in the closet and the corresponding one next to the bed.

TIA

Good question, give Tiffin customer service a call. They should have the answer.

Let me look at the video I took when our bus was built, maybe that will give a clue of how they open.

On my coach, there are 6 screws securing the wood face plate just below the PS closet door. Remove them and the face plate. Next, you'll need to find and remove the screws, buried in the carpet, securing the floor access panel in front of the PS closet door. Once all of the screws are removed, you'll be able to carefully pry up the access panel. It's is very tight in the opening to prevent heat, debris and gasses from entering the living areas.

Once you get the closet panel out you can stick your head in there and look forward. Then you'll see the other screws sticking through the floor. That'll give you an idea where they are. A magnet will fine tune their location.

Only magnetic tool I have is recessed and ineffective, I'll have to go buy one. I can see both panels from the outside access...there are no screws poking through the underside. Thanks for your help.

I just looked at the video and the carpet is installed after the floor and access covers are in place and placed over the screws, you will have to feel for them and then go thru the carpet to get them out. Wish it was easier.
