We purchased our Phaeton used and are on our first long trip. (let me add we store our unit in a covered storage) We experienced our first really strong rain storm while camping and noticed drips coming down on the front windsheild sun screen (which was lowered at the time) we had to put towels on the dash to absorb the water. The next day while pulling out of the campsite , water poured down out of the return vent on the drivers side. the same thing happened a few days later after a rain storm . Now, last night we noticed drips of dirty water coming from where the ceiling meets the cabinet moulding near a ceiling cross seam about 2 ft behind the drivers seat. We had to stuff rolled up paper towels down behind the (slide) crown moulding in the trench between the slide crown moulding and the wall trim . Any suggestions as to what may be causing this? Is Rain leak somewhere at a seal a no brainer? or could it be a coincidence and that it is actually an air conditioner leak problem that just is happening during our first long trip and prolonged use of the ac unit? Has anyone had a similar problem? Any advice?

There are lots of places on an RV roof for water to enter - air conditioner, TV antenna, satellite dish, edge seams, roof vents, etc.
We had a small leak that took months to track down. It turned out to be one screw that wasn't properly sealed.
We had another, more serious leak that was a separation in the caulk where the front cap meets the roof. That one was bad enough I went up as soon as it stopped raining to look for it. It was big enough that it was easy to find.
Tiffin has also been having problems with cracks on the corner radius of their all-fiberglass roofs. That's another possible source.
Bottom line is someone will need to go up there to check it out. Leaks can be hard to find because the water can travel fairly long distances before it drips in where you can see it.
Some Camping World locations can perform a bubble test where they blow a large fan into the RV to pressurize it, then spray soapy water all over to look for bubbles. You may need that type of test if you can't pinpoint the source visually.

Call Tiffin and get a record made of the problem so that if it is really something major it will be on file.

In that area you can take a good look at the front cap seam caulking if it's toward the center of the ceiling area... but if it's over by where the slide corner meets the wall then I'd suspect the seals on the slide.
Sometimes the leak can be off someplace other than where you THINK it would be though...

i had the same problem with water dripping over the dash onto the windshield shade. my problem was due to the marker lights not being sealed, and you could tell because there was moisture in two of them.
TMH replaced and recaulked the two lights , but I guess they did not feel it was necessary to check or reseal the other lights; surprise they leaked also .
