2010 Allegro Open Road 32BA Ventilation

We recently purchased a 2010 Allegro Open Road model 32BA. This is our 4th rig in 16 years. When reviewing the rig for purchase, we did not notice that the bedroom area does not have a window that can be opened for ventilation. Apparently Tiffin changed from the 2008-2009 which had such a window. Now, the window there is just an escape hatch, and cannot open for venting. Needless to say the rear of the coach becomes dead stale air quickly unless we run the A/C fan continuously (rather noisey if you don't need A/C), or use a fan to push fresh air into the bedroom. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any solutions available such as installing a roof vent, or fantastic fan, or an escape window with a small portion that opens? I am also going to contact Tiffin for their comments.

That certainly is a serious design flaw if the window cannot be opened. So, what you're saying is that the window that is above the bed does not open. I[m looking at a new 32BA that North Trail RV in Florida has on their web site and the window on the bedroom slide looks like it slides open just like the other windows in the coach. Maybe the Tiffin installer made a mistake with your new rig. if so, they should fix it for free. We've owned Tiffin motor homes for 15 years now and they have great customer service.

We also have a 2010 Open Road Allegro 32BA and have the same concern.
We are looking at replacing the window.
What was your Solution?

Allegro 2010 Open Road 32BA Ventilation

The window was replaced by Tiffen after I wrote a letter complaining about the design problem or error on their part. It was replaced with a slider that was still an escape hatch type of window. I traded the Allegro in 2012 for personal reasons. Nooksack.

I think I am going to write a letter and see if I can get the same results!
Better than paying for the replacement ourselves!
