2011 Allegro Breeze 28' vs Monaco Vesta

My husband and I are new to the RV world. Now that we are both retired we want to travel North America. We are still looking for an RV and have narrowed our search down to 2011 Allegro Breeze 28’ or the Monaco Vesta. If you’ve had any experience with either of these models, we would love to hear your comments. Thanks!

Never heard of the Monaco Vesta, so I did some googling. It looks like a Fred (FRont Engine-or-End Diesel), and if so, would be a apples/oranges comparison to the DP (diesel pusher) Breeze. While the Breeze is not perfect, it should be a whole lot quieter. A Fred might also be built on a truck chassis possibly lacking air suspension, which MAY make for a harder ride than the Breeze. Again, only going on the pictures of the Vesta that I saw. Welcome to the lifestyle, and may you and the spouse have MANY happy camping years together!!!

Before you consider either of these mh's it would be advisable to do a search for the Maxxforce engine, which I believe both of these have. I personally don't have any experience with this engine, but have seen thousands of posts about problems other people have had. One advantage of the Maxxforce is that they don't have to use DEF. If you don't like my comment, just ignore it and don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. Seems like we have a lot of experts on this forum that need to point out how dumb other peoples comments are. Dave

I owned a 2011 Monaco Monarch (new) had numerous problems with the ford undrtcarriage and a dew issues with the interior. Now own a 2016 Tiffin Open Road 31SA. Quality is NOT compariable. LOVE LOVE my 31SA. Tiffin builds a great gasser.

You might want to look on this site under Monaco in the owners section. There is a lengthy thread asking owners about their Vestas. Lots of good info there.
