2011 Phaeton 36QSH main water filter

Another dumb question. Can anyone tell me how to get the water filter in the water bay out? I can't tell if it should turn off or what. I can't get it loose with my hands so don't want to force it if it doesn't screw off.

It should screw off. You should have received a white plastic wrench that will slide up onto the filter housing. It should look something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Watts-WR-100-...+filter+wrench

Rotate the filter housing counter clockwise to loosen (looking up from the bottom).... Have a towel handy as some water will drain out as you loosen it.

Mine has a button on the top that I mash to relieve pressure then I use the "wrench".

Thanks to all. Everything I need to know except the recommended filter replacement. I understand that a C2063 filter will work. I'm surprised that
tiffin didn't include that info in the owners manual. At least I couldn't find it & the previous owner had installed a no name filter, so I have to guess.

You can use any general purpose filter that fits the canister, there is no advantage to using the expensive ones. I use a carbon filter in mine since I have an external particulate filter system. My particulate filters generally last 3 months and the carbon filter six months.

Visit the RV Water filter Store for suggestions on improving your water system.
