Question 2013 Phaeton Roadtrip Mission to Travler Dish

Searching to see if anyone in this forum has changed out their factory installed Winegard mission dome (Dish) to Trav'ler (DirecTV). I have a 36' and coax is ran from the front dome location to rear bedroom cabinet behind TV and control switch wiring to the cabinet above the drivers seat. I would like to have my DirecTV DVR receiver moved to a front cabinet (for main cabin TV and the front slide outside TV) and then put a wired genie in the back for bedroom TV (separate channels / DVR viewing). Has someone done this and if so, what existing wiring / cabling did you reuse?? I have had trouble with the HDMI cables loosing signal gain from hot sun for the two front TV since coach was new and been thru a couple tech trying to fix so.... I'm also looking at abandoning the satellite HDMI cables on the passenger side and slides. The blueray cables still work just fine Thanks in advance.

You can use the coax from the Roadtrip but that is about it. The Trav'ler requires a control cable be run to the box that controls the antenna.

Instead of moving your Genie to the front cabinet, leave it in the entertainment cabinet in the bedroom and use a wireless Genie client for the front TV. No bad HDMI to deal with.

I installed one on my 2013 40 ft Phaeton. Reused the coax and ran new control wiring that was included with the Winegard dish. I called tiffin to confirm a location to drill through the roof to install the new control wiring and then ran the wiring through the A/C distribution duct to a nearby cabinet where I installed the control unit. Careful where you drill.....
