2014 36LA Electric Slide Motor

I have noticed people have trouble with the slide motor. Where is the motor located? How do you access the motor and gearing in the bedroom slide in a 2014 36LA? I like to be prepared and have never owned a electric slide until now.

Electric Slide Motor

The Schwintek slide motors are attached the house wall and are synchronized through the controller found under the slide in one of the basement bays. The access is difficult and is done by prying an exterior trim piece on the left and right exterior walls. There is a U Tube video on how to properly lube the Scwintek slide out.
We try to keep weight off of the bed or underneath so as not to create drag. There are rollers under the bed part of the slide to keep it level as it moves. According to the Tiffin techs at one of the rallies it is not an easy process to access the and gears. So we are hoping we don't have problems with it.
