2014 Phaeton QBH can't see dash gauges
We have a new Phaeton QBH. We love the coach for so many reasons. Previously had a 36ft, 2013 Bounder gasser and this Diesel pusher is so much nicer.
BUT, does anyone else have a problem seeing the dashboard gauges on their Tiffin, in particular the Driver,s notification center and warning lights. Do you have any unique solutions to visualize these gauges when on the road?

I have no problem with ours. Is your dash lighting roller/adjuster turned too low? Not even sure it that works for the DIC - mine is over at storage, so I cant confirm for you that its adjustment affects the DIC --- I know it changes the lighting for the gauges.

Its not where I would like it, have to sort of lean forward to see it, been thinking of redoing the gauge layout like others have.

My 2013 Phaeton is like that.....I can see the upper gauges, but cannot see the bottom info without leaning forward.

You can get some relief by adjusting the steering column height. It does take a bit of extra umph to get it to move but if you step on the floor pedal and push like all get out, the column will move down a couple of inches.

If you don't have to lean forward to see the light bar, you are probably 6'10" and sitting with the seat in it's most forward setting. Most everyone else has a problem, but it's not a big deal.

+1 for ernieh. It's a case of form over function. The gauge layout looks good but not very practical. Who ever laid out the console obviously has never driven a DP or just didn't care.

It's not a lighting issue, really a dash layout and seat position issue. The lighting works fine.

Dash Gauges
Sounds like others have similar issues. I really think that the chassis was designed for trucks and a different kind of seat which is higher. I am 5' 10". The plush, comfortable Flex steel seat is just too low to see the gauges, without really leaning forward.
My biggest concern has been that I don't get a warning light and not see it right away, but I think that the serious warning lights are accompanied by a chime hunch would alert me to lean forward and look at the dash. The comments are all very helpful, particularly the one about pushing down hard to adjust the wheel. I can most of the gauges now and do not need to lean forward nearly as far to see all of them.
Thanks,
