2016 Phaeton - Hydraulic "Scare"

Did regular routine this AM - Started engine, after 1 min turned on cruise, tapped set so would idle closer to 1000 RPM, run about 5 min . . . Pressure gauges both over 100, slide light says "Slides Ready" . . Pushed extend for front passenger, extended 1 " and stopped. Would not retract. Waited a few minutes, tried failed. Then tried driver side, same thing. Both stuck in out position about 1".

Pushed auto-retract on levelers . . same thing - partial retract. Fear.

Turned off engine . . paced for a few minutes . . . Looked in storage bays and under RV for hydraulic fluid leak . . . nothing.

Did engine re-start as above, now everything works.

I've owned for 1 year and first time I've ever had this problem.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Was planning on leaving for trip today, but want to assess if any risks in doing so . . . or, what I have to do / be ready for in case of repeat?

THX in advance.

Could you hear the hydraulic pump running when the slides stopped moving? If not, it sounds like it could be the main power relay to the pump.

Are the slide controls in the Spyder system or on the front seats like the '17? If they are Spyder controlled, then it could just be an intermittent issue with it.

Reminds me of the old(80s-90s)computer days. Always do a reset before troubleshooting.
I know that scared feeling. We have a F53 gasser and winter in SoCal with no onsite dump so every couple weeks its to the dump site and back. On 2nd or 3rd trip (I forget) when returned to site put tranny into reverse and nothing happened! Reved engine a couple times and no movement. Oh No now what??
Finally after a couple frantic now what minutes I restarted the engine and all worked as advertised. NO IDEA why the tranny would not work except it is computer controlled and there was a glitch. Has worked fine for over a year without a recurrence.

As these MHs get more and more intuitive with computers , it seems there are more complaints about “ghosts” in the systems. I would write this one off as a computer glitch. Could have been a sensor for the transmission or brake that stopped everything, or if on Spyder, all bets are off, this forum is full of problems with this system. I’m almost afraid to order a new bus due to this system.( but they do have pretty blue lights)

I just had a similar problem. Check all of the power wires on the pump. On my rig it's in the same bay as the Propane tank. The ground wire (the most likely culprit) is in the top surface of the pump housing. It is a white wire. Tiffin could not explain why it's white. I hope this helps.
