2019 or 2020?

Hi all! Have a 2019 40IP Bus on order. I was contacted yesterday by Lazydays with the option to move to a 2020 for an additional 5k. 2019 delivery date was mid June. 2020 would be about 2 weeks later. Not a big deal. Any thoughts?? Thanks!

I think for the 5k, I would jump to the 2020. I don't know the difference between the two model years. Just depreciation between the two models years, maybe your a bit ahead of that curve????

What do you get for $5k? If there are new features maybe worth it, if itís basically the same coach, $5k will pay for insurance, diesel. If the dealer canít give you details that is a red flag.

Prices have been increasing on average about 3-4% each year. So if you can find the MSRP of the 2020 youíll know what kind of deal youíre getting. That and try to find out what if any changes are being made, there might be one you donít like.

Thanks for the feedback. Fortunately Iím well aware of the pricing since I have recently been through all of this with the 2019. Tiffin rep says LD isnít even covering their cost on this. Iím thinking theyíre running out of 2019ís and are Ďgentlyí pushing me towards the 2020. The 5k represents about a 1.7% increase over 2019.

It sounds like a good deal, but they do change features and decor each year. If it were me, I would call Danny Inman at Tiffin in Red Bay and tell him that you were offered a 2020 model and want to know what has changed. That is a fair question since you have a current order and shouldn't have to blindly say ok without know what you are getting. Hopefully, it will work out well and sounds like a good deal, but then too, you don't want surprises, to find they eliminated something important to you, or changed some decor so you wouldn't like it. If you already know the facts, then it sounds like a good deal, one years less depreciation is a big factor.

Travelino, thanks for the reply. I have actually gone over all the changes in detail with Danny. The only tough one is the loss of the farm sink in the galley. Wife wants the farm sink! Danny is checking to see if they can retrofit it into the 2020.
