33AA Weights

Just got back from FMCA rally in Redmond, OR. had our 33AA weighted (each wheel). I'm over weight in the rear 1,400 lbs. Called Tiffin and talked to Nathan,(256-356-8861) he ask us to send him a copy of the weight sheet. He called us back and told me when we get home to find a freightliner in our area and call him back and he would send the parts there.
I did find out by weighting the coach that I need to lower the tire pressure from factory 110lbs to 95#.

please post what "parts" Tiffin is going to supply to FCCC to address your over weight condition.

Actually the 17,500 axle is rated for 20,000 lbs already. The upgrade is only upgrading the shocks and changing the brake canisters to larger ones.
They aren't going to change the axle itself.

20,000 axle upgarde

I also have a 2014 33AA which was overweight at the rear axle.

Bob Tiffin after I sent him my weight sheets authorized an upgrade to a 20,000 rating. All they do is upgrade the shocks and brake canisters. Tiffin doesn't send any parts. I went to freightliner and they ordered the parts.

The person in charge of this at Tiffin is actually Gary Harris, a service supervisor over Nathan. Tiffin will supply the new Axle tag and a replacement door label indicating the upgrade. From freightliner later you should receive a new reclassification sheet showing the upgrade. Gary Harris has all the part numbers needed to do the upgrade.

Wow 1,400 lbs over. I was 480lbs over. I was told with my coach to carry 100lbs
in the front and 90 lbs in the rear

Axle Upgrade

My upgrade was done about a month ago at a Freightliner dealer in Knoxville,TN

I could have waited until I went to Gaffney,SC for service in Sept but I wanted to get it done quick.

I just got the new axle tag and sticker from Gary Harris this past week. from Tiffin.

E-mail Gary Harris your weight sheet which would speed up the process and tell him where you want to take it. He will do the rest.

I noticed the 2015 RED rear axle is rated at 19,000 lb.
Wondering if the changes mentioned above are now standard.....

I am thinking about buying a 33aa. Do they all exceed the GAWR of 17,500 for the rear axle? I went through this with a 2006 Monaco Endeavor and they replaced the entire rear axle. Bummer.
