35QBA Electric Drive Slide

So...shortly after buying a 2012 35QBA from a private party....the kitchen slide quit working.

The controller fault indication said shorted motor. After figuring out how to access the motor...I discovered a loose screw that was inside the motor and caused physical damage to the motor.

Kind of interesting especially considering I cannot find anything missing a screw and the motor was pretty much in a sealed area.

And it seems I cannot find the motor online anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?! I am trying to avoid the dealer because they were twice as expensive on the ice maker and toilet water valves I had to replace (due to poor winterization of rig).

Really must be like the first person with a bad slide motor....the local (large) dealer cannot even find it and having to contact Tiffin.

Call Tiffin and talk to Service. They will get you the part number for the proper part and probably transfer you to Parts to get a replacement. Faster and easier than trying to source it elsewhere.

Tiffin got back to me on email, thanks.

I have now learned this is a Lippert/Schwintek motor/system and apparently they are problematic on some units. But mine went bad due to a screw finding its way inside the motor.

It didn't help that the motor I took out, presumably OEM, had some unknown name and useless numbers on it.

However...

The Tiffin part number is 5016139.

The Lippert Part number is 236575, which is on amazon but the local dealer is matching amazon price for me.

Thanks....I got it changed out. The most difficult thing was finding the information since my motor had useless numbers and an unknown name on it.
