36 LA Air Conditioner

I have a 36LA that I've owned for almost a year. The front and rear A/Cs feed into the same distribution vents in the ceiling and the thermostats also have remote sensors mounted in the ceiling. In the summer I have trouble balancing the thermostat settings and often find one A/C working hard and the other one off because the thermostat temp for that area has been driven low by the other unit. So for I've been setting a 5-10 degree differential on the back A/C to try to compensate...anyone figured out a better way??

If your satisfied with what your doing, I'd say keep doing it. Myself I set front and back at 74 most of the time if I'm running both, I usually only run the front till warmer part of the day. Dave

I haven't figured this out either. Just trial and error.

Don't know of a rear ceiling sensor. Do have one in the front. I close the ceiling outlets part way in the bedroom and the rear bath. This forces more air out the front and makes the rear ac run longer. Try about half way for starters, and go from there.

The simplest way to balance the two systems is to set the fans to On and then adjust the fan speeds to Hi or Lo balance out the system. If it was really humid/hot, I'd run them on Hi. I would not close any of the ceiling outlets.

If you haven't done it in a while, clean your air filters (driver's side vents). That will help air flow quite a bit.

Pick a point where you want the changeover to happen, drop the closest AC outlet and stuff a rag in the duct. I did it on a 2008 Bus and it worked fine. The 2013 doesn't seem to have that problem, so no rag.
