Update. The nightmare still going on. Left the unit this weekend and the dealer acted like no big deal. They will get to it it's just that they are busy. LOL. Asked tiffin to pick up the unit and to take it to Red Bay for repair. They too are too busy to do that. If you are in the market for a class A not sure Tiffin should be your first option. I switched from Thor to Tiffin believing what I read about quality and customer service. Yet to see any of the two myself.

My Tiffin 11 Phaeton QBH cost me 7 months out of my life of 11 months of owner ship for repairs and almost $70,000 in lost money to get rid of the night mere. Never again!

Update 2. Served both Tiffin and the dealer with the NJ Lemon Law letter (request for final repair attempt). Got a call from Tiffin right away. They will take the coach from the dealer back to Red Bay, have it repaired there. More to come....

I really believe their is more to this story then meets the eye....I had a 2014 36 La and now a 2014 40QbH and not ever any the problems described. I have been very pleased with both units and my dealer fix the small problems. Who is your dealer? You never did tell us.....

Good job getting the dealer & Tiffin to take you seriously and agree to get it back to RB. I can imagine your disappointment in a brand new coach.

I hope you have many many trouble free year of trips in your future.

I know how you feel, Jrodrig18. It is very frustrating to say the least.

Let us know how it goes, if not in the direction you wanted I know a lawyer that has sued tiffin several time over issues like this and won. (kinda easy to find him, google "Tiffin lemon law lawsuit" The fist thing that come up is article about the cancer patient and the lawyers name is listed ;-) There are several other interesting articles for light reading.

Update3. The "thing" is back from Red Bay, spent 8 weeks there. They "fixed" all issues, repainted the side, changed the leveling system, cabinets, driver chair, passenger chair, slide frame, skylight, sink, macerator, closet door, etc etc etc. entry door was replaced to no avail the issue remains. For sale sign on.

And one of the reasons we like to buy new although even that can be problematic as your story shows!

Yes, my previous RV was bought used and no issues, the "new thing" ended up being the problem.

And this is why, one, I am not buying my first motorhome used, and, two, why I'm searching to a manufacturer who will go the extra mile to get it right the first time. I just don't want to pay over $100,000 for somebody else's POS, lemon. Life is too short and I'm not anywhere close to be knowledgeable enough to examine, especially a used, motorhome to find problems before buying. I'm in the process of researching to find a quality manufacturer who simply refuses to let a badly built unit out of his factory.

I was hoping Bob Tiffin might be such a manufacturer. It appears not.

Guess I'll return to looking at Newmar coaches.
