'96 Allegro Bus Engine Batt Disconnect Solenoid Location

I have '96 Allegro Bus with diesel engine. I have determined that house batteries are not charging when engine is running. I am trying to locate the solenoid that disconnects engine battery from house battery when engine is NOT running. I have located 12V disconnect solenoid which is functioning properly.

I have found 2 solenoids near transmission on left side frame rail. Wondering if one of these is the engine battery disconnect solenoid? Any insight would be most welcome.

Don't have any help for your specific bus but mine uses an isolator (looks kinda like a car amp) and it is in the compartment where the inverter/charger is. Are you sure your bus uses a solenoid? I have one also but it's only used when I want to connect the banks...the alternator output is managed via the isolator which is a separate item.

Solenoid Found

I spoke with a guy named Terry at Tiffin yesterday and he gave me a description of the solenoid. Also suggested that it would be located on or near the engine battery box. I located it bolted to back of box between the box and frame rail. Measured the voltages on terminals and determined that the solenoid wasn't getting 12V to the control terminal from the alternator. Traced the wire back to the alternator and found it to be broken at the terminal that connect to alternator. Crimped a new terminal on the wire and connected to the alternator. Problem solved.
