Airing up tires

What kind of device do you use when airing up tires when on the road? I'm thinking of buying a 3 gal portable pancake 100psi compressor (25lbs) that would run off generator. Any one have any thoughts/comments about the compressor?

This one is also popular because it's smaller, lighter, runs off 12 volts.....only downside is it's more expensive.

I carry a porter cable pancake compressor. Picked it up at lowes on sale. Don't remember price. Works well enough

If you don't have the onboard compressor, do like we did, got a small 6 gal compressor, max PSI 150.....I found on our last MH that the smaller pancakes just did not have enough air in them, was always running it.....We switched to a PortaCable, 6 gal 150 psi,did not take up much room and was plenty for our needs.

+1 on the Viair 450

Have a pancake at home but really like the portability of the Viair.

The pancake compressors are popular. Relatively inexpensive, readily available, fit in a storage bin, and will get the job done. I carry one (porter cable brand), a 50' hybrid air hose, a good tire gauge/inflator, and a small set of air tools (not the best for running air tools but will run a ratchet and medium gun for lighter work needs).

Works really well. Have used it for inflating a flat tag tire.

W have the onboard compressor naturally but found it was almsot impossible to air the fronts up to 120 psi that they required. Went and bought a Coleman 120V tank unit that takes a while but it does the job. Now, with the new, bigger front tires I only need 105 psi.

Hybrid air hose. Has a PVC hose for a mother, and a rubber hose for father. So not stiff like mom, and resists abrasion better than dad. (-:

X4 on the ViAir!

Saw this video: How To Inflate RV Tires The Easy Way - TheRVgeeks

Bought one.

Love it! A bit expensive... but very high quality, very portable. 'Nuff said!

I'm carrying a quick air 2 that I used when I was more into jeeping. Look for a portable air compressors that off roaders use to air up or air down on trails. Dave
