Allegro 2012 30GA

Tiffin owners, looking for some assistance. We have been shopping for a motorhome for the past 2 years. Narrowed down to the Newmar Baystar 3113. Yesterday we stumbled upon the 30GA. One owner and appears to be in great condition, very well kept. I don't much about the Tiffins. Also, should we add an inverter and sway bars? The dealer is selling to us for 74,600. Is this a good price for a 2012? What should we be looking for and asking? This will be our first motorhome.

Sylvia

Not knowing the mileage on the Tiffin, I think the price may be a little high. I believe the Tiffin has 22.5 wheel and the Newmar 19.5. Several suspension upgrades will help both the Newmar and Tiffin, because they both have a Ford F53 chassis. The floor plan you like best is one reason to help decide on which one to buy. Most gas motorhomes don't have inverters. Dave

19k miles on it? I'm considering going back to reduce price further to 72k, thoughts?

Nothing wrong with low miles. Some people just don't travel all over the US. I bought a 99 Winnebago in 2008 that only had 7K miles on it. Didn't need anything except a oil change. All hoses, belts, filters were fine. Sold it at 40K never had a problem with the F53 . It's a great platform for gas RVs.

Nada low retail 63 K , Hi retail 71 K.

I would go with low retail, they bought a wholesale which is less. Ofer 59 and walk away you can always go back. Also search RV trader and see what is out there.

Tha Tiffin surge protector only handles spikes, not dips.
