PbdBlue, Thanks for the info on the Dual Pane windows, I am going to really see what the windows in the Tiffin are like, but I assume they are just regular safety glass.. of course Tiffin (or others) don't specify their windows.

I don't know about the length, your right the specs from year to year change... and no rhyme or reason.. I think you are right get a tape measure out and check it out.. The other thing that Peaves me off from time to time is the Model number of a unit vs it's size... Like the 31Sa.. is it 31' or something else, is it with or with out the ladder.. Who Knows.

Windows

The Tiffin Open Road models have 1/4" thick single pane glass which is thicker than the norm.
Other features not found on all the competition: fibreglass roof, ducted returns on the AC, outside compartment doors are much sturdier( Georgetown doors are flimsy and do not have gas struts), Most storage compartments are passthru and much larger than competing brands, electrical outlets on exterior walls etc etc.
My former 5th wheel had a 30 RKLE model number yet was 33' long. SO many rv manufacters have model numbers that are not even close to actual length. Who knows why?
ps. no I do not sell Tiffin coaches

Thanks. Other concerns I have coming from Winnebago is roof integrity and windshield rust. Being a Winnebago owner I have experienced the rust problem first hand. Have not had any issues with the roof but have heard some have. How does the Allegro compare? I did a search and didn't find any posts on those subjects but do a search on Winnebago rust and you'll find plenty. BTW - just for reference the Winnebago dual pane windows are made by Atwood.

If you are looking at a 31SA vs 32 CA, you might want to look at the 32SA. It is the same floor plan as the 31SA but has a king bed instead of a queen bed. It is 18" longer than the 31SA and 6" longer than the 32CA. The storage capacity according to the website on the 31SA & 32SA is 140 cubic feet. If the 32SA is 18" longer, wouldn't you think that the storage would increase as well?

You can look at any manufacture's web site and then compare it to their brochure or other literature and I bet you would find that there are not the same numbers. The best thing to do is to measure it your self to get the "real" number.

If you are thinking of getting one of those models, Tiffin now offers an option called "SumoSprings" that they say helps a lot with East - West roll and porpoising. Some of the buyers have said they love it.

wow, bigger is better but, honestly, we have been trying to get closer to 30' than 33 or 34' . I realize that the cost and driving isn't much different ... but I have a garage that is 35' from front to back... that is what is presenting an issue for me. Until I can solve the garage issue I'm doing my best to keep the over all length to stay with in my current garage.. But, thanks for the input..
