Allegro Bay interior water pump switch
I have an 05 Allegro Bay 37DB with the red light that informs when the water pump is on. There are 4 of them (outside bay, bathroom, kitchen, shower area that are lit when the water pump is on. Have had them replaced twice (all except outside bay) and they die an early death (3-6 months). Has anyone found a source for these or better yet a nice looking LED type replacement? Dealer does not stock them, I could order them from Tiffin but do not want to keep replacing.

Just wondering if the light is burning out with the switch still functioning, or does the switch not function at all.

No, all of the switches work fine, it is just the light that keeps going out. Dealer replaces them and they work for a while 3-6 months, then one by one go out again. I am trying to locate some nice looking LED style if I can.

We also have an '05 37DB, and the lights on all 3 of the pump switches (bathroom, kitchen, outside bay) have burned out. I replaced them with 12V LEDs from Radio Shack. I think the LEDs were only around $2 or $3 each, and they will last forever. If I remember correctly, Radio Shack had both red and clear LEDs. I used red; but with the red plastic cover, clear LEDs would also work. The LEDs were just small, plastic domes with bare wire leads - no sockets. I soldered them in.

Yep, the best solution. We use a number of Radio Shack LED's to tell when we have power on various circuits. Some are 12V and some are 110V as the function requires.

Just on a followup, I tried the 5mm Red LED from Radio Shack, soldered it in but it was no where near as bright as I wanted or close to old led brightness. I found a 2-LED light that fits very good into the plastic housing after I removed the original LED housing with my dremel tool. These are super bright and I will be able to notice the pump is on before leaving the coach. I don't like the pump on if we are not there or all night either. This is a pic of the 2-led that I put in. http://www.superlumination.com/image...2led_cw_wm.jpg

I actually prefer the lower light level of the Radio Shack LED - less glare at night on the one by the sink by the bedroom - but that's just my preference. Glad you were able to find a brighter one that you like better.
