Allegro Bus 45LP shore power

Just traded my 08 American Tradition for a 13 Bus 45LP yesterday. Does anyone know when Tiffin moved the shore power from rear of Coach to mid ship in the Aqua Hot bay...? and why...

That particular BUS is the one they moved it on. I'm due to get a 43 BUS in a week or 2 and when it was built (we watched), our reel is in the closet floor as the older ones are. No closet room in the 45's.

Thats what I thought. How was the trip to the factory.? I had intended to go to the factory first but had a steer tire blow on the Flordia Pike at 70 mph and caused a lot of damage when I went off the HW. Was planning on getting the Allegro Bus later this year but...Had what I wanted at LD's in Tampa.

We spent 2 weeks watching it being built. We were in the factory or paint facility from before they started till after they quit the end of the day, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. We've been on the factory "Tour" about 5-6 times and never knew what we know now. I can't say enough about the people who put the rig together. Hard working, easy to get info from, and the most conscientious folks I've ever seen. From the clean up folks to the production workers to the masking and paint crews to the engineers and supervisors to the office staff and Bob Tiffin, we couldn't find a better bunch. Being able to be on the floor and inside the bus while it was going together was outstanding, and unique in the RV industry I'm sure.

We left after the coach went into striping, after base coat was applied. We would have liked to see it all the way through, but the week off between Christmas and New Years was in the way. They should be about complete with Final Finish right now, and into final inspection.

Be sure to go if you get a chance and spend as much time in the plant as you can. Take the tour but go back and just watch each individual build area.

John
