Anti-lock Brakes and collision air bags

Looking at the purchase of a 2020 Breeze. Working on developing answers to all the questions and ......

Insurance agent asked "will this vehicle have air bags and anti-lock brakes?"

A quick search says that the 2010 Bus has anti-lock brakes. Info was in the 2010 Bus manual. However, when looking at the Breeze manuals, I am not finding info on an anti-lock capability or an air bag installation. The manual does have a section on seat belt use, so it appears that we have made a step back in tech, but since these two features are standard on everything, maybe there is an assumption that needs no specification.

Looking into the collision avoidance option. Seems like this option would require anti-lock brake capability if it was to function correctly. So, what say you Tiffin experts?

Appreciate your guidance. Pat

I don't know about the Breeze, but all of the other Power Glide chassis motor homes have anti lock brakes. An email to Gary Harris gary.harris@tiffinmotorhomes.com will verify. He is the chassis shop manager.

As for air bags, none of the coaches have air bags. Motor homes with air bags are very rare, if they even exist.

Only most class C motorhomes have air bags.

The Fed does not require them in Class As, so they don't offer them.
Not enough people die in MH crashes.

OK - confirmed.

The Breeze has anti-lock brakes, but it does not have collision deployed air bags.

Dan, thanks again for the contact info.

My coach has all kinds of air bags! But, you are right, they are very rare in Class A coaches.

shoulder harness for passengers - yes or no

Expanding this thread to discuss the seat belts. When we toured coaches we did not see seat belts in the passenger area. Subsequently we saw video that displays belts in the couch and the forward facing booth dinette seats.

So, with seat belts, are there shoulder harness straps? How do you secure your grandkids when traveling? Tell all. We appreciate your information.

We’ve owned several class A MHs and have never had one with shoulder harnesses except for the two front seats.

Shoulder harness or seat belt only?

After rewatching the video, that's what it looks to be. Guess we'll have to figure out a long lanyard to anchor the dog's harness for travel.

Thank you for the comment.
