I'm new to iRV2 and Class A MHing. We are thinking of purchasing a 35QBA for the bunks and the storage space available, etc. The problem that we are running into is that we have been researching a "toad" that we can fit our family of 6 into. Does anyone have any ideas or feedback? Thanks

Take a look at the newer models of the Chevy Equinox and it's sister vehicle the GMC Terrian.

edit: Sorry it looks like they call the Equinox a 5 passenger not your desired 6.
A Chevy Traverse could haul your family but looks to be seriously stretching your towing capacity.

Thanks for the input. The Traverse is one of the vehicles that we would like to get but I had concerns with the rating and as well. I talked to one guy today that told me that he towed a 13K # trailer with sand cars with his chevy workhorse without a problem, well over the rated capacity.

Will share info about what our experience has been, you may find it helpful.
In Feb 2011 we purchased Allegro Open Road 34TGA 2011, believe it about the same floor plan etc except you have bunk beds.
Prior to our purchase we had owned two Monaco 40 foot DP, with all the bells and whistles and high end "stuff".
While we decided to "downsize" do to our camping preferences, we do not feel we went down in quality or class when we purchased our Tiffin Motorhome.
Did lots and lots of research prior to our purchase.
Suffice to say its everything we thought it would be and more.
Floor plan is outstanding, as is storage spaces and quality of the coach.
We had an M&G supplemental air brake system installed on our coach, we have had air brake system for last five years. We love it.
Our toad is a 2010 Dodge Dakota club cab truck, have had no issues pulling it, we have RoadMaster hitch and have had for several years.
Prior to buying the truck we wanted to find a vehicle that would tow four down (if thats the right phrase) and one of the reasons we opted for the Dodge Dakota.
We also have a older Jeep cherokee that we are going to have "fixed" so we can also tow should we want to.
I cannot say enough about Tiffin, their Customer Service and overall dealings.
We had one minor adjustment with the water heater, called Service Dept at Tiffin, explained the issue, told them we are many hundreds of miles away from a Tiffin Dealer and they authorized the water heater adjustment with our local coach repair shop. I was impressed.
Not sure if any of what I shared with help you but hope it might.
After a very long Oregon winter we are currently on the road (our first trip out) for the next couple of months and are pleased as punch with the coach, how it handles and how quiet it is.
Safe travels to you.

I'm not sure if this particular model is towable (most Hondas are), but the Honda Pilot seats 8.

Good info. We are looking at buying Allegro 35QBA and pretty darn excited about it. Got triplet grandsons that are waiting on it. Last week on of them asked " Papa, when are WE getting the Motorhome? I said WE will be getting it before you go back to school.
We saw some document on the differences between the 2011 to the.2012. Some pretty slick stuff in the kitchen lowered the stove an inch or.two and have a cover.Pf double the counter space; Color backup and side cameras and new color schemes. Good stuff

Make sure you test all slides, especially the PS slides and drive it before purchasing. The 35QBA uses 2 Schwintek slide mechanisms which are prone to rattling. A Part of the TiffinRVNetwork • Login
