After a season in the 32BA, i realize I would like a mirror on the dash that lets me see what is going on in the cabin. Have any of you folks added an internal mirror that works for you? Thanks, Tim

Should be as simple as going to an auto parts store, buying a mirror, the correct glue and attaching it. You could get one from a junk yard and buy the glue.

i put one in the wide angle kind attached it to the tv mount with a piece of piano hinge. bent the piano hinge very slightly so it does not move real easy. works great. will try to get a picture tomorrow.

FWIW, I had one in my previous coach. It was supplied by the factory and was basically useless. It got in the way of the front curtain and I removed it for good when I installed MCD shades.

The basic problem was that there was never enough light in the coach for the mirror to be useful. In order to see anything (not everything), all the shades would have to be open in the daytime or the overhead lights would have to be on at night.

I am going to do this... Maybe in the next month or two, I am retired so why rush, even for something I thing will be very handy. Like seeing which door or drawer the wife has not closed all the way or chair was not put in its proper place, after all I can not be expected to remember to check EVERYTHING!!!!

PS: I don't drive after dark, lights should not be an issue....

This how Newmar installed my rear view mirror. It's attached to a finished block of wood that is in-turn attached to the bottom of the TV cabinet.

It works... would be nice if it was a larger mirror.

My Class C came with one installed, but it is useless for seeing behind the MH. It does come in handy for seeing what the monkey is getting into while she thinks I am distracted. I wish it was larger, also. Maybe an inside rearview camera would work better?

When I first drove my MH after bringing it home, I made a left turn and heard what I thought was my awning opening and slamming shut. It would do it every time I made a left turn, and then again when I made a right turn. I looked back and couldn't see anything open. I finally pulled into a WM parking lot and made some turns. It was a locking drawer that wasn't latched. It gets special attention now.

Great idea! Thanks Dunner. But why do they call it a "wink" mirror? Even Google failed me on this one. Is it so you guys can wink at 5 different girls at the same time?

It was the first thing to show when I Googled Wink Mirror. I think it is just the name of the company.

The reason I want a rear view mirror is to see what we forgot to lock closed. Quite often I drive to a campground and wife meets me there after work. I hate when I hear things swing or sliding and don't know what I will find when I get there. Have a rear view camera on all the time to see what is going on behind the coach.

I saw a post on another newsgroup where the poster had gone to a wrecking yard and found a car interior rear-view mirror with a big baseplate. He drilled holes in the baseplate and attached it to the lower edge of the central TV cabinet with woodscrews.

I plan to do that this off-season. It's handy, when you hear a crash back in the house, to be able to see whether it's a disaster to stop for or a relatively minor incident.
