Anyone have experience with a Phaeton QKH?

Went looking at them last weekend. We didn't fall in love and then went and fell in love with Entegra. If you have been following my search you will know that Entegra has no bunks. We were going to give them up but Hubby (now that he isn't looking at them directly) is changing his mind again.

Anyone have positive/negative things to say about the QKH??

The biggest thing I didn't like when we were trying to decide between the QBH and the QKH is that the bathroom is hard to access when the slides are in. Might not be a deal breaker for you, but still good to know for those times when someone wants to go while you're rolling down the road. Happy looking...

40 qkh

We didn't like the doors for the bunkbeds so we took them off. It also made it easier to get into the bathroom when traveling. If you are not slim it is a tight fit otherwise. We just got ours in January and we haven't had a chance to really take her out for a spin yet.

We had a gas bunk house (35QBA) and liked it so much we ordered the QKH and we love it. Yes the bathroom access is rather tight when the slides are in. We call it 'fat man squeeze'. We also took the doors off. Tried to like them and the grand kids tried it with just one door and did not keep them on. The bunks are great storage areas when the kids are not with us, which is most of the time. Then the dogs get the lower bunk.
Love the Phaeton and glad we made to move to a DP. Love the Tiffin product, actually went to watch it being built.

Good luck and have fun.

We too are considering this change...our 2013 35 QBA has 27K on the clock.

Well we looked and didn't care for the phaeton layout, too tight for the bathroom. We fit fine, I just didn't like it.

I liked the allegro red much more

The only "problem" with the RED is that the residential refrigerator is not available with the RED bunkhouse (38QBA). You can get it with the 38QRA, but not the QBA (I think it's an $1,100 option on the QRA). The residential refrigerator is standard with the Phaeton line. Naturally, if you're looking for boondocking purposes, you might want the Norcold (LP) refrigerator.

We came out of a Winnebago bunkhouse (Vista 35B), and wanted to like the QKH, but the tight squeeze into the bathroom with the slides closed and a couple floor plan dislikes moved us to where we are now. While we miss the "storage" that the bunks offered when it was just the DW and I, we got the two couch QBH so we can still sleep two grandchildren on each couch for a total sleeping capacity of six... and that is without the dinette/sleeper.

We've got a 2011 QKH with 19k miles and have really enjoyed it. The bathroom is a little tight getting into with the slides in, but it's doable. I've kept the doors on the bunks because the grandkids like the coziness and I like it looking neat with the doors closed.
