Aqua hot

SJW

Do have a few questions on the Aqua Hot system also.

If I have not used the diesel side do I still need to do annual maintenance?

Should I run the diesel side every so often when not using the MH even though I haven't used the diesel side at this point? If yes, should I still do maintenance even if it is only a few times in use?

Bought coach new in June of this year.

Thank You for your help

I recommend you fire up the diesel side on a monthly basis, much like you exercise your generator. If you're not using it the annual service is not critical, likely not needed. You do need to keep clean diesel flowing through the lines and burner. If you treat your diesel to winterize recommend you fire up the AH then to ensure the treated fuel is in the lines and burner.

Let's see what others have to say ... best wishes and safe travels ...

It is much better to use the AH diesel burner than to not use it. My previous coach had an AH and I used the diesel burner every time we showered. Had the coach for five years and never serviced the AH at all. We use our coaches every month and take off every summer to beat the Texas heat. You should periodically use all zones so the pumps get exercised also.

Good luck with he new coach.

I would concur with both the above, plus recommend you use it as much as possible while under warranty. If you have any problems you want them to show up. If you are in a cold climate I submit that proper winterization is more important than annual service. A frozen cracked internal water tube can take 10 grand out of your bus fund!
