Ariston dryer ... isn't
We have the stacking washer/dryer combination and while the dryer runs, it's not heating. At all.
All the modes will run the drum but not even a fraction of a calorie is being generated.
I tried taking the outside panel off and discovered all I can access is what appears to be the washer motor and exhaust ports.
Anyone have any clever ways to check the heater connections without pulling the dryer out of the closet?
2014 Tiffin Phaeton 40QBH
Ariston TVM63X
Currently on 50amp power.
TIA!

There is a small space you can access after you take the hamper out but that’s only going to get you to the water hoses. Sounds like the heat grid is bad. Looks like you will have to pull it out. At least it’s the lighter of the two

Yeah, as I've hunted around I've come to the conclusion I'm going to have to pull the dryer.
Hopefully there's enough play in the cables so that I won't need too much swearing.
At 78lbs I'll need to find a helper :-)

If it’s like ours, looking along the side, back in the dark, it looks like the washer/dryer are joined with a plate with some screws. If the same, you may be pulling both out to get at one.

I hope that's not the case. Tomorrow is icemaker and dryer day :-)

I only had to pull the dryer, so that was a relief. I had one bad temp sensor and the heating elements had loads of carbonized lint. It's lucky the previous owners hadn't had a fire.
Replacement parts are coming in this week so hopefully I'll have a working dryer by next weekend.

That was one of the things I liked about our Phaeton QBH, the washer and dryer were stacked separately. The bus we ordered appears to have the, bolted together

Ours is a Phaeton 40QBH and they’re bolted. Weird! Maybe they grabbed some for ours that were waiting on the bus. [emoji23]

I was able to get the dryer working again with a new heater assembly.
It's not getting as hot as I'd hoped but is drying towels about as fast as I expected.
I checked with Westland and was able to verify that it's working properly by checking current draw @ 10A

Glad you got it fixed. Don’t forget, it’s only a 120 volt heater. We usually have to split the load up to dry things. Also make sure that the lint filter is clear. The DW was complaining about the dryer not working right, I found the lint filter was pretty well plugged up.

Ariston dryer ... isn't
Not wanting to hijack, but is everyone’s dryer a tad on the noisy side? I’ve read some other forums where bearings were the discussion. We’re headed to RB in June and I’m trying to get a feel if the “whir” is more the norm.

Mine's definitely noisy but given that's a relative term I'm not sure if it's a problem.
I don't hear anything that I would describe as "grinding" so I'm hoping I'm good for a while.

Nope! The dryer is pretty quiet but the washer can get noisy during the spin cycle.
