Auto Air Level in 40mph wind

First trip and the wind was over 40mph plus gusts at a direct crosswind while parked using auto air level only and the RV never even rocked! We closed the slides on the windward side to save the toppers as we watched another RV's topper rip to shreds. Driving home the next day the wind was nearly as bad but not even noticeable as far as the drivability. Unless we get stuck with a very unlevel pad I can't see ever going back to hydraulic jacks.

If you get a really unlevel pad can you use both the hydraulic and air together to get more extension on the low side?

I haven't tried that but I think the first step in using any part of the hydraulic jacks is to dump all the air which would disable the air level.

Ok, enough already. Three months ago, I didn't need a heated floor or air leveling. However, I keep hearing about how much people like both of those options. Sooooooooo, I am imposing a moratorium on any remarks regarding both of these options. This is necessary due to the feeling I am getting that I don't know if I can live without them. You can comment on any other feature, but not the air leveling or the heated floor until further notice. We about have our '13 43QGP paid for and I don't want another payment. Thank You for every ones cooperation.

yes you can use both. You have to use the manual settings but after air level complete you can use jacks for stability
