Automatic step cover

We are close to finalizing a decision on a 2014 Allegro Red 33aa and discovered what we believe should be a fixable problem. Help. When the automatic step cover is closed, it is about 2 inches lower than the floor. As a result my feet do not touch the floor and it is very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the passenger seat does not lower so that is not an option. Anyone have a solution to the step cover which is about 2 inches below the floor when closed? This makes it very uncomfortable to sit as my feet do not reach the floor.

The power seat in an allegro 33aa does not raise and lower. Wish it did. Thanks

Floor too low

The DW uses the foot rest that came with our recliner once we get going.

A small plastic, foldable stool would probably work. Camping World has them in several different colors.

I had power seats in my Open Road and I have them in my Phaeton.

The power seat used by Tiffin is the same, except for the power foot rest, across all models. The center, round, control knob is a 4-way controller - up/down; front/back. The switches on either side control tilt.

Were you looking at a model with power seats? If they are optional, I suggest you get them.

Ditto on what KIX said, try a plastic foldable stool. We keep a couple of them around for many reasons. Best of luck.

My wife has this same problem. Camping world sells a stool that is made for this purpose. The stool is higher at the top than the bottom and is an nice natural fit for her feet. Was pretty inexpensive.

Unfortunately, Tiffin has changed the power seats on the 2014 Allegro 33 and the power seat no longer goes up and down as the previous flexsteel seat did. The only fix was for the dealer to build a 2 inch high cover to lay on top which would need to be put on and off plus stored. Quite a hassle on a brand new MH of this calibre. We do love the Tiffin and just purchased the 2014 Allegro 38QRA which doesn't have the problem. We take delivery in 2 more days!!
