LOL, yep, it's violet and I didn't stand on my head. My Bad.

This assumes the charger is connected directly to the battery posts. If not, and before you buy a spare, make sure nothing is broken, missing or turned off in the chain between the charger output leads and the battery posts.

Assuming you have both the chassis and house battery leads somewhere near each other, the Amp-L-Start is also a popular choice to keep the chassis batteries charged. It does require that the house battery charging system be active, though. We have its smaller brother in the charge line for our toad.
I took both batteries out and they are currently on separate chargers in my garage. When/if they are fully charged, I'll take them in for a load test.

After I get this part sorted out I'll look at the AMP-L Start as well.

The chassis batteries are on the curb side and the charger is on the street side. The charger connects to the batteries as can be seen in the image below.

Turns out that the problem was the battery charger was defective. I replaced the charger with a Battery Tender I had (no change in wiring, just spliced it into the existing wires) and replicated the situation. Works fine now.

I had the same problem with my 28' Tiffin Breeze last year. I ended up replacing my batteries and upgraded to a Pulstech Extreme charger to keep the batteries charged and keep them from sulfating. I ran a large battery shop before I retired and the pulse tech chargers were the only ones we found that could actually desulfate lead acid batteries. The pulse tech chargers saved more than my salary in batteries saved and put back in service the first several years after we started using them.

In the previous posts- the House batteries are only charged by the converter. The chassis batteries are charged by the alternator when driving down the road or by the charger we are talking about when the Rig is plugged into power.
