Battery electrical issue

I have a 2005 Allegro Bus 40 diesel. We got back from our last trip in Nov. and it has sat hooked to shore power since (in Fla we didn't winterize). I went to start it last week, and the chassis batteries were dead. I replaced the batteries, but now when I turn the key to start the engine, nothing unless I push the start assist. I can then start it, but the dash info says "14.0 threshhold 13.4". I am assuming it is a wiring issue, but I only re-installed the battery wires pos to pos, neg to neg. Any ideas?

Sounds like your battery maintainer for your chassis batteries isn't working. I would start by checking the connections to the current system (passenger side in one of the rear compartments) and looking for a replacement. Two that come to mind are Trick-L-Start and Amp-L-Start.
