Battery help please!

Just found out I need 4 new house batteries. What I have now are Lifeline gpl 6ct's 6volt 300amp. Can anyone recommend a battery comparable to this but less expensive?
Thanks,
Steve

Texas Steve, I'm not sure what the cost of the batteries you listed would be but, I purchased Duracell Ultra 6Volt, Deep Cycle, 250AH, Flooded type for $132.00 each on sale at "Batteries Plus Bulbs" (Golf Cart) My battery bank is located in a side (Vented) compartment. Flooded batteries are low cost, very powerful, long life and charge fairly quick. If you don't mind a little maintenance they're great batteries. I am very fortunate I don't need AGM or other expensive types.

Idk, Mine 6 flooded battery's were replaced in May with Trogan T-105's. Less then a grand with labor for the 6. Should get 5 years I would guess, maybe more.

I still have not had to add a drop of water to them. I do check them monthly, takes me less than 10 minutes to do.My charging profile must be spot on.
With that said, they are not install and forget like the AGM's would be.

Amazon doesn't list any other manufacturer making a gpl-6ct like battery with 300 Ah's. Looks like lifeline and 300 AH or GC2's from lots of places at 220AH and prices that start around $100.

At that pricing, couldn't you replace those 6 heavy 6volts with 3 lighter Lithium 12v for not much more money? Battleborn or ReLion??

Keep in mind!! two deep cycle 6Volt batteries in series are the equitant of 3 and 1/4 12Volt batteries in parallel when it comes to Amp Hours of power. 6Volt battery cells are much bigger allowing greater charge retention. Just thought I would throw that out there.

I just bought 8- 6 volt Dura Cell AGM batteries made by East Penn Battery Co ( made in America) at Sam’s Club for $172. each. Replaced the wet cell ones that were only two years old that were so corrosive that I also had to replace all the cables as well. I have only had the coach three months and I am not sure how or if the previous owner maintained the batteries but because of the mess I had to fix in the battery bay I went with AGM. These batteries won’t have the amp hour rating as the ones you are replacing but they are a little more than one third the cost.

You guys who are boiling your batteries AND have inverter/chargers need to check your float voltage.

Most inverter/chargers have battery tempture sensors. If bad or not properly installed, it will adjust the charging voltage up or down.

Higher voltage will overcharge your battery and lower voltage will not actavate your isolation device and cause your chassis battery to discharge over time.

They can raise and lower the float voltage up 1 volt or more if not working properly.

I just replaced my old Trojans T-105"s with two Duracells from Batteries and Bulbs. The new batteries are the same size as the Trojans. They have a 1 year warranty and are 230 Amps @ 20 hrs. vs. 225 amps @ 20 hrs. Price was $114.00 each.

Those Lifeline batteries are very good batteries, albeit spendy. They have the same physical footprint as a common GC2 battery, but are taller. Hence the 300ah capacity.

If you dont need or want the capacity for dry camping you can replace with a common wet or AGM GC2 sized battery. Costco has interstate wet for about $85/each. Sam's Club has Duracell wet for about the same and a Duracell AGM for about $185/each.

Your coach likely had the regular wet GC2 batteries originally.
