Best Tiffin Dealers

We are about 12 months from selling the sticks and bricks and would like to trade a 2013 Redwood 36 RL on a Tiffin Phaeton or maybe Allegro red not sure need to haul a 4 door jeep and tools etc. Would even consider a clean preowned unit but we are new to motorhomes and I want to have a unit that we can get good service on. I hear praises from Tiffin owners. Please weigh in.

Thanks

Andy

I hear many good things about King's Campers in Wausau, WI....and few complaints, (which is unusual for any RV dealer).

We loved the Allegro Bus but got so frustrated with Lazy Daze in Florida and Mike Thompsons in California we bought a Thor from Motor Home Specialists in Texas. Hope you have better luck with those Tiffin dealers if you choose them.

Where are you located? Personally, I don't really think it makes much difference which dealer you go to. They all will do their best to get as much $$ off of you as possible. You just need to be prepared for their tactics.

I would go look at the models you think you would want at a RV show. Then search the internet for a 2 or 3 year old one with less than 10,000 miles on it. I've usually had local RV Techs do any repairs I have needed on the RV's I've owned. If you get a Tiffin join the Allegro Club and go to a couple of their rallys and you can get 3 miner things fixed at the rally for free. Most of the large dealers take weeks to fix anything especially Camping World. Dave

Depends on how far you are willing to travel however, two of the very best dealers are located relatively close to Red Bay, AL - Sherman RV in Sherman, MS and Davis Motorhomes in Memphis, TN. Basically no hassle, no wierd charges. Very straight to deal with and consistently the best pricing on Tiffin products.

You can easily haul a four door Jeep with either a Phaeton or a Bus. We are pulling a 4 door Rubicon with or Phaeton, up and over the Rockies and those other mountains out west.

We don't depend on our selling dealer since he is in Niagara Falls and we generally aren't anywhere near there anymore. Nothing against Colton service, would use it if we were near and had Tiffin related problems. Busted steps are not Tiffin issue (we banged them on a curb not a warranty item or even an Extended Warranty issue).

We just traveled from Southern CA to Memphis TN to buy our new 36LA from Davis Motor Homes. I would highly recommend them. Their prices are spectacular as well as the service. Talk to Danny Davis for your Tiffin needs. Good luck.

Just a heads up for anyone interested: Sherman RV has been one of the most recommended along with Davis in Memphis. Karen was great to work with on your order and Benny was terrific in PDI and making sure the coach was tip top when picked up. Well, Benny and a partner have bought McKinney RV in Red Bay (right across from the Tiffin service campground) and Karen has joined him. Benny and Karen have already left Sherman for this new venture.

PS: I bought my coach from Marlin Ingram RV in Montgomery, AL. Great people to work with and Marlin gives you a fair deal with none of this playing around with pricing.

I was very happy with my treatment at Mike Thompson RV in Southern California. My sales gal was Cher Lychman. That said, I don't know how the ridiculous 10% Calif sales tax would fit into your decision. (Yeah, I know how it would fit)
Good Luck on your search.
