Bike rack for Phaeton

I have a 2013 phaeton qbh. I tow a Prius on a dolly. Is anyone using A ladder rack to carry bicycles? Is there a better way to carry two bike with this tow set up?

I thought of putting a bike rack on the hitch of ours but stuck with the bike rack in the Jeep hitch, that way if we want to take them somewhere other than the campground, we can......I imagine you can put a bike rack on any car from a hitch mount to roof mounts

I would suggest NOT using a ladder rack for bicycles. They are to heavy and can cause your ladder to bend out of shape. I don't have an answer for your situation, just know you don't want to use your ladder.

I have a 2 bike rack that hooks on to the ladder. It works well. It is for sale for $20. I need a 3 bike rack. I agree with garykk that one that connects to the toad AND/OR the RV will give you more options.

Bike rack for Phaeton

We purchased a Hollywood Bike Rack and attached it to our tow vehicle via the receiver hitch. We bought the four bike carrier although we generally only carry two. The rack has built-in anti-rattle features and folds downward to access our rear hatch door. When not is use, the carrier arms fold away. We are very happy with our Hollywood bike rack!

I too would not use the motorhome ladder to carry anything!

This is what I installed for my towing setup. Works great with a receiver type bike rack.
