I was just curious what brand (and model) AC/Heat Pump units Tiffin currently uses (in particular, on the Allegro Bus).

I had read on Cruzer's site, in a review of the 2007 ABus 42QRP, that the AC units had the "vertical fans"... and I was wondering if they are the <STRIKE>Coleman</STRIKE> Carrier AirV units (with an exterior fan that blows/pulls air across the coil by blowing it out the top of the unit... more like on a home AC compressor).

Thanks for any info.

The A/C units that Tiffin uses are the lower profile units with the fan exhausting the air straight up through the top of the unit similiar to a residential style home unit.

What is odd, is that the actual units that they use don't always match their specifications. According to the AB specifications, on 40 foot rigs, Tiffin is to use two 15K BTU air conditioners while on the 42 and 43 footers they use three 13.5K BTU units.

Perhaps it was a mid model year change or they were out of 13.5 units, but our rig, 43QRP, has on the build sheet, three units of model number 9024 units which are 15K BTU.

After reading your message I checked my coach, which is a 2007 42QRP, and I also have 9024 15k units......go figure!
